Scope - French symposium on emerging technologies for
micro-nanofabrication JNTE10
After the success of JNTE'08
the national research networks (Groupements de Recherche, GDR)
"Ondes",
"Nanoélectronique", "Micro-NanoSystèmes", "Nanofils
Semiconducteurs"
have decided to organize a second edition of the symposium in 2010.
JNTE'10 will take place on November 24-26,
2010, at Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau (France)
-
The main
objective of JNTE'10 is to focus on emerging technologies for
micro-nanofabrication, from fundamentals to complex integration
techniques.
Pushing technology to its limit and integrating emerging
technologies in micro nanofabrication processes is indeed an important
challenge in the field of nanosciences, in order to be able to
demonstrate new concepts and to use them in new-generation, functional
devices.
|
The JNTE symposium
represents a unique
opportunity:
-
to gather
the
scientific community involved in micro-nanotechnology, process
engineering, physics and modelling of fabrication processes.
-
to build
bridges
between different disciplines, and between different domains of
applications.
-
to enhance
the
diffusion of news results and ideas among the main actors, to make new
fabrication concepts beneficial to other disciplines.
-
to create a
continuity of expertise from fundamental studies on materials, new
processing techniques, or modelling, to applied research on process
engineering (integration of technologies, development of new
micro-nanodevices, ..).
-
To reinforce
the
interactions and collaborations between the main actors of
micro-nanotechnology integration (national, or proximity technology
platforms, ..), and between these actors and the scientific community
involved in the development of specific processing techniques or
characterization tools at a more fundamental stage.

JNTE'10
will bring
together on an interdisciplinary basis the major actors of the
scientific community involved in the
development of emerging technologies for micro-nanofabrication, from
different disciplines and for different domains of applications,
including optics and photonics, electronics, physics of nanostructures,
chemistry, biology.
The symposium is of interest for all the laboratories involved in the
fields of micro-nanotechnology, integration of technologies,
development or modelling of new processing techniques, fabrication and
characterization of micro-nanostructures, micro-nanodevices, and
micro-nanosystems.

The JNTE'10
symposium is also supported
by CNRS, RENATECH, RTRA-Triangle de la Physique, C'Nano Ile-de-France, and French Ministry
for Research
